Patience is understood very well as a concept. The actual practice of it is the real challenge! Patience is something which is better understood experientially. This is an online workshop for adults from all walks of life, who are interested in exploring patience in action.
It happens over 7 days (Sunday to Saturday). A total of 7 hours are spent over 7 days. The first day of the workshop is aimed at glancing into the world of patience as we have experienced it so far. This day serves as the basis for the next 5 days of the practice. Over the next 5 days, we physically practice patience (40 mins per day) in different ways, without speaking about it (that too can be a test of patience!). Finally, Day 7 helps us make sense of the practice we did. This day particularly focuses on taking home 'patience' in a more tangible way that can be practiced in your routine life. These sessions will not be recorded.

Kind Place (A support group for individuals coping with Narcissictic abuse) is the brainchild of psychologist Shama Shah and is co-partenered/supported by Irawati Joglekar. Shama and Ira are close friends and batchmates. In their work, they realised the limited support available for sensitive issues such as the emotional impact of narcissistic abuse.
Emotional abuse can take various forms and is often neglected due to its intangible nature. It can be quite confusing for the person facing it. The intention in facilitating this group is to bring visibility to an otherwise isolating experience through sharing and validation. Healing begins when an experience is seen and held with due respect. With that hope, Shama and Ira came together to facilitate this group.
General structure: A closed group (7-8 participants) meets for 6 sessions of 75 mins each, that happen over 3 months.
Details such as timings, fees etc. are shared once registration opens.
DATES: Sep 2nd to Oct 24th, 2024 (Concluded)

Wisdom of Body is a 3 hour educational and experiential/reflective session for adults. Often our feelings show up as a racy heart, a flushed face, a tight jaw or warm hands. Since language is largely understood as words we tend to miss out on the language of our body, which is quite wise and can help us cope with stuck emotions.
This workshops aims at helping people become aware of how their body communicates emotions or gets impacted by emotions. It also aims at helping develop skills to manage such emotions.
This is especially helpful for people who experience physical/somatic symptoms when they feel an emotion.
DATES: 7-12-24 (at the IPH) (concluded)
