RASA is a space that offers counseling services for emotional health and mental wellness needs of adult individuals, as well as a hub that makes learning more accessible for curious mental health practitioners (MHPs).
Hi, I'm Irawati Joglekar, a psychologist since 2012. I've had my private therapeutic space for a few years now. Recently, I felt the need to name it. After some amusing searches and feeling like a tabula rasa (blank slate), I found my answer!
RASA (to be pronounced as raa-saa) is originally a Sanskrit word (रस) and has several meanings viewed from different perspectives - the emotional aesthetic of artwork, juice (representing fluidity, flavor, and essence), and the emotions that govern life - essentially capturing the essence of being YOU.
It also embodies the four pillars of my practice:
R - Regulation of emotions
A - Acceptance of your entirety
S - Safety (building internal safety)
A - Affirmative (every story is uniquely valid)
This mental health space is for individuals from all walks of life - all genders, all sexualities, all lifestyle choices, all brain structures, all strata and faiths - essentially, all humans are welcome here, wholeheartedly.
